WiRE had a fantastic time hosting the very first industry social event since Covid and it was a great atmosphere with over 60 participants from various companies, ranging from reinsurance brokers, property underwriters, life and health actuaries to claims specialists.
We were very fortunate to have Daniela Collis, CFO APAC and Romain Lefaix, Head of HR APAC from Scor to officiate the event. Daniela and Romain both graciously welcomed us to their newly refurbished offices and spoke at lengths about Scor’s initiatives to progress Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the industry.
All participants had a great time vying for the main prize, networking with fellow peers and enjoying the views from Scor’s office on the 29th floor of the SBF building.
Nine teams took part in the pub quiz and it was a very close battle with “Thorn Among the Roses” (very aptly named!) emerging victorious followed by “Risky Business” in second place and “Halimah” taking the third position. Congratulations again to the pub quiz winners as well as to the 3 lucky draw winners.
We were also very grateful to the participants who generously donated to Daughters of Tomorrow and we are very pleased to announce that we have raised SGD 1,100 for the charity.
The event was a huge success and we’d like to say a big thank you to all who participated and our friends from Scor who sponsored the event .
